Summary of Position

The Facilities Custodian is responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of both the interior and exterior of the campus.  Janitorial duties can include trash and recycling removal.  The Facilities Custodian may also assist in general maintenance work and special projects as needed.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collects trash and recycling throughout the building and prepares for pickup.
  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. 
  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to regularly lift 50+ pounds.
 

Skills

  • Ability to follow instructions from Supervisors or Facilities & Maintenance Manager.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work alone or within a team environment.
  • Initiative and a self starter.
 

Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Computer literate.
Compensation
  • $17.00 per hour
