The Accounting Manager will be a key business partner to the Sensaria Operations team and manage a best-in-class accounting team in Raleigh, NC. This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office.  This position is open due to the move of the accounting team from our Longmont facility to our Raleigh, NC offices.  You'll report  to the VP/Controller and be responsible for financial reporting and related financial controls of the organization. Sensaria is owned by Circle Graphics, Inc, a privately owned, private equity backed company.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that transactions of the business have been properly accounted for and accurately reflect the company’s accounting process. The Accounting Manager provides support to department activities with specific responsibility for ensuring that overall fiscal policies, practices and/or regulations meet compliance requirements.
 
The Accounting Manager is responsible for all the following:

Leadership:
  • You'll lead, manage and mentor a best-in-class accounting team 
  • Workload management: you'll ensure effective and timely close process
  • Assist with interviewing and hiring process of accounting staff when necessary
  • Lead and train accountants
  • Review work and track month end close deadlines for accountant(s)
 Month end and GL Processing 
  • Responsible for month end journal entries necessary to close financials
  • Manage analysis of month-end physical inventory reporting from cost accountant
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and accruals
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Prepare financial management reports
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes
  • Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
  • Add new GL accounts as needed
  • Maintain the fixed assets, monthly transactions, asset numbers, and depreciation
  • Drive continuous improvement to ensure efficient and effective processes
 Technical Accounting
  • Document and maintain all Sensaria  accounting policies and procedures to ensure they are following the latest industry standards and regulations and GAAP
  • Oversee implementation of all new accounting policies and document compliance
  • Designated lead on post-acquisition and purchase accounting documentation and projects
  • Ad Hoc research and compliance work as necessary and identified by Controller and/or CFO
As Accounting Manager, you will have:
  • Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally
  • Specific knowledge of GAAP, principles of accounting and auditing
  • Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, policies, regulations and/or laws
  • Ability to problem solve with data that frequently requires independent interpretation of guidelines
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Analyze a variety of financial and statistical information
  • Ability to work well as part of a team at all levels and individually under time constraints
  • Communicating with a diverse group of people
  • Understanding of financial and accounting standards
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple duties
  • Ability to manage tasks and excel in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization
  • Must be able to work under limited supervision.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people.
  • Utilization of resources from other business units may be required to perform the job’s functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, outside legal, auditors, clients, customers and the general public
You will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
  • Minimum 7 yrs. experience in Public and Private company experience preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • CPA license or equivalent preferred
  • Experience  with financial software and technology -SAP B1 or other ERP experience, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel including applying VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and other key formulas to analyze data and solve problems
  • Experience in team management and career development
  • Ability to adapt to and learn new systems quickly
  • Experience managing and/or leading a monthly close process required
  • Highly motivated and self-directed, with keen attention to detail
Salary Range: $100,00 $120,000 plus annual bonus opportunity  

This role is hybrid, 3 days per week in our  offices near RDU International /I-40.
